In 2018, Alexandre Benjamin Navet spread across the walls, floor and ceiling of Galerie d’actualité1 of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs a large decorative work drawn with oil pastels and wax crayons. Integrated at the entrance of the exhibition « Un printemps incertain » (« An Uncertain Spring »), this large in-situ frescoes was conceived as ephemeral and had not been designed to be removable.
This full paper-based drawn project was then carefully dismantled for archiving the original decors and incorporation into the museum’s permanent collection, a process that took place from August to October 2020.
